With many people getting set to visit Christmas markets across the continent the Office of Public Works this week announced 'Christmas at the Castle', a new Christmas experience in the historic venue of Dublin Castle.
The unique event, which is being run in partnership with Dublin City Council, will feature an open air Christmas market, festive carol singing by night and a Neapolitan crib. Evening visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary access to the decorated State apartments.
Over 30 traditional alpine markets stalls will adorn Dublin Castle's majestic courtyard and will include a selection of crafted goods and gift ideas, all topped off with some delicious festive goodies.
Admission to the market at 'Christmas in the Castle' is free of charge. The event runs from 12th to 22nd December and is open 12pm-8pm daily. Several other ticketed special events will run as part of the festival and more information is available at https://www.dublincastle.ie/christmas-at-the-castle-2019/
